Kibler Cares 2026 Hospice Caregiver Award
Kibler Cares is a family based charity created at the request of Margia (Marge) Kibler. Marge filled her life with things she found to be beautiful, but she also struggled with many of life’s challenges, including the deaths of her daughter Melissa and her great niece Jennifer. They both passed away after lengthy battles with cancer, and Marge made a promise to donate any of her remaining estate to help put joy into the lives of those in hospice care.
The Kibler family has decided to extend that joy to the professional givers of hospice care. Jennifer was just a child when she was diagnosed, and she passed away just shy of her 18th birthday. At that time the role of hospice caregivers was left to her parents, and our family appreciates the compassion, dedication, and skill that caregivers must have in order to provide in-home hospice care.
To that end, Kibler Cares desires to make two monetary awards of $1,000 each to an individual who provides exemplary hands-on home hospice care. Candidates will be nominated by either the agencies that provide in-home hospice support or the families that benefited from their care. Nominations will be made in accordance with agency guidelines and applicable laws.
Awards will be made available on a first come, first serve basis as applications are submitted and verified.

Kibler Cares is proud to announce that Tina McGeorge was named the first recipient of the Hospice Caregiver's Award in 2025. Tina is employed by Good Samaritan Hospice, and was nominated by a family member of one of her patients. The family noted ; "Tina McGeorge is a very special person who lights up a room and brings joy to what are challenging, sad times. She always entered our mother's room with a huge smile, love and hugs, and treated her with the utmost respect. She quickly became like a member of our family, and we compared all other levels of care of hers".
